Samaritian's Purse - Operation Christmas Child

The Cause

We started Operation Christmas Child — the Shoe Box Appeal at Woburn in 2006, when we collected 749 donated boxes. Last year we collected 6949 shoe boxes at Woburn Church. This year we will collecting shoe boxes filled with presents for children in need, in Eastern Europe.

Who Do We Collect From?

We will collect from over 150 schools in Beds, Bucks and the Milton Keynes area.

Where Can I Leave My Box?

St Mary’s Woburn will be a Drop Off point for anyone to drop off their shoe boxes. Boxes can also be left at the Vicarage porch. We will be a Drop Off point from the 1st — 27th of November.

How Can I Help?

Volunteers wishing to help will be needed from the 20th Nov — 29th November.

Anyone wishing to volunteer should contact us

The Service

This year Shoe Box Sunday will be on Sunday the 19th of Nov at 10am, to celebrate and give thanks for all the Shoe Boxes given.

The Logistics

A lorry then took them to children in need, that otherwise would not receive a Christmas present.
